Day 13: Family Arrives

Our Aunt and Uncle arrived in Vail late Sunday night.  We woke up in the morning to meet them at their place in Lionshead.  They were still pretty tired from their later arrival, so Brian and I left them to unpack and get ready to ski.  We skied most of the mountain before meeting them for lunch at the Two Elk Lodge.  The rest of the afternoon we all skied together, looking for nicely groomed trails on the front side.  We didn't get off the slopes to about 3:30, so Brian and I had to hurry home because we knew our family was arriving that night.  We spent about two hours cleaning the entire place up, to make it look nice for them.  After breaking a sweat from the intensive cleaning, we got ready to go out to dinner with our Aunt and Uncle.  We meet them for some drinks and appetizers at the Tavern.  Uncle Dave's good friend, Tim, joined us as well.  Tim has been a local in Vail for 20 years, so we are hoping to ski some powder with him during our time here.  After the Tavern, we enjoyed a delicious seafood dinner at Montauk.  We had to hurry home after that, to greet our families' arrival.  Weather channel is reporting snow accumulation Wednesday night, Thursday, and Friday morning...

Ask your Uncle Dave if he's going to dig down deep below the snow and have his way with some mud!
